6,000 Runners Eyed as AmCham Foundation Brings Its 9th ScholarRUN's Eat & Run

Updated: Feb 25, 2020

About 6,000 runners are expected to join in the 9th ScholaRUN of American Chambe Foundation Philippines, Inc. (ACFPI), which will happen on August 23, 2020, at the SM By the Bay, Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City.

This is a repeat of the Eat and Run concept after its successful staging in the 8th ScholaRUN last year.

Like the previous year’s Eat and Run, runners will be treated to several American food staples such as doughnuts, pizza, and burgers served along the running course. The run includes a 21K category, allowing more participants to run longer distances.

Amcham Foundation has been embarking this charity fun run for nine consecutive years, making this worthwhile activity its main advocacy on education. The foundation also feels a debt of gratitude to its member companies and the general public for its unwavering support they have been showing to help educate the underprivileged yet deserving Filipino youth.

The 8th ScholaRUN had more than 4,000 participants. The proceeds from the said run provided educational assistance to 22 worthy scholars.

AmCham member companies can now send their registration forms to secure race kits. Meanwhile, on-site registration will open on January 6, 2020, at selected Chris Sports outlets: SM Mall of Asia, SM North EDSA, Glorietta, SM Megamall and Market! Market! You can also register online at www.goorahna.com

The 9th ScholaRUN’s Eat & Run offers the following categories with respective fees: 200-meter dash (P500.00), 3K (P650.00), 5K (P750.00), and 21K (P1,100.00). Each racekit includes a race shirt, racebib, medal, and lootbag. The run is co-presented by Caltex and Emerson.
